Who we are
Inspired by our senior foster pup, Eddy, Eddy's Nomads Dog Rescue was founded on the belief that every dog deserves a second chance, no matter their age, past, or circumstances.
We're more than a dog rescue—we're a community of compassionate people who believe every dog deserves a place to belong. Through rescue, foster care, veterinary care, training, and thoughtful placement, we help dogs heal, rebuild their confidence, and find families where they can truly thrive.
Our mission extends beyond adoption. We work alongside local communities, veterinarians, trainers, and animal advocates to support responsible pet ownership, help families access resources that keep pets in their homes whenever possible, and ensure that dogs in need are given every opportunity for a brighter future.
The name "Nomads" reflects the journey so many dogs face before finding their forever home. We believe that home isn't simply a place—it's the people who choose to love you unconditionally.

As a foster-based rescue, every dog lives in a loving home environment where we can truly get to know their personality, needs, and behaviour. Before being placed, each dog receives a thoughtful assessment to ensure they're matched with the foster or adoptive family that's the best fit for everyone involved.
We believe successful adoptions don't happen by chance - they happen through education, support, and careful matching. That's why we continue to provide guidance, training resources, and community support long after a dog leaves our care.
Our commitment also extends beyond the dogs we rescue. Whenever possible, we work to help families keep the pets they already love by connecting them with resources, education, and support before surrender becomes the only option.
Most importantly, we're building a community. We work alongside veterinarians, trainers, local businesses, volunteers, and fellow animal advocates because we know that lasting change happens when people come together with a shared purpose.

We rescue, rehabilitate, and thoughtfully place dogs through foster-based care, comprehensive assessments, and ongoing support for both our fosters and adopters. We believe every dog deserves to be understood, given the time to heal, and matched with the family that's right for them.
Beyond rescue, our mission is to strengthen the communities around us by providing education, resources, and support that help keep pets with the families who love them whenever possible. By working alongside volunteers, veterinarians, trainers, local businesses, and animal advocates, we're creating a future where fewer dogs are displaced and more dogs find lifelong homes.
